According to latest research, our town tops the list of British towns and cities with highest unemployment rate. Weve been struggling with low socioeconomic status of our citizens for years, and its high time we did something about it. Our local authorities, together with the non-profit organisation Chances, have created a project that is aimed at the unemployed to help them become independent entrepreneurs. The project contains offers that can help achieve individuals this aim. Online Driving Instructor Training, Web Design Workshop and Hairdressing Training are the main points of the project. The Web Design Workshop is for people who already have well-developed computer skills and would like to use them in their future career. The Hairdressing Training is for anyone who wants to become a hairdresser. No previous experience is required. The Driving Instructor Training is aimed at people who have a driving licence and at least three years experience in driving. All courses are fully sponsored. Each unemployed person can join. To enrol, contact the town council or the Chances office. Further information is also available on our website (click on the link).
